Stand-Up Paddle works differently from our Multisport stations, and the app will take you through a few extra steps. Here is what to expect.
It is always paid
SUP equipment is billed by the hour, with the rate shown on each item in the app before you confirm. There is no free SUP.
The rules you accept before your session
The app asks you to confirm that you understand the SUP rules and accept the waiver. Read them properly, they are conditions you commit to:
You can swim at least 300 metres.
You have checked the weather and the wind is below 15 km/h.
If it is windy, you head into the wind first, so the way back is easier.
If you have never done SUP, you take an introductory class first.
You are not under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
You wear the buoyancy aid and attach the leash.
You accept the replacement cost if the equipment is not returned.
Our full safety guidance is here: Guidelines for a Secure SUP Experience.
What is in the locker
A board, a paddle, buoyancy aids for an adult and a child, and a dry bag. At the end of your session the app lists each item so nothing is left behind.
The fin
This is the step people forget. Unfold the fin before going out, and fold it back before putting the board away. The app reminds you both times.
Your phone and your valuables
Do not leave them in the locker. The locker is tied to your reservation, and once it is closed you cannot simply reopen it.
Ending your session
Fold the fin back, return the board, the buoyancy aid and the paddle, then take the photo the app asks for and confirm that all the equipment is visible. That photo is what closes your session.

Have a good session.
